these days

It’s hard to believe it’s only been a week since the new year began!  We’ve been pretty busy around here.  We spent the last week costuming puppets, filling out lots of paperwork, acquiring licenses, gathering and building props, shooting some video, writing our first newsletter and lots more!  Speaking of the newsletter, we emailed it out today!  Things are starting to feel real, like it’s official, we own a company, a ministry company, and we’ll be doing shows and traveling and sharing Jesus who knows where!  (Well, Jesus knows 🙂

The days and nights kind of blend together right now.  We get up and get ready for the day, do school, then lunch and work through the boys’ nap time (I seriously am so thankful for nap time!)  The boys get up and we hang out for a bit, eat dinner, then they go to bed.  That’s when the real work day starts!  Branden and I take advantage of the quiet and usually write/build/sew/create until about 2am.  Then the day begins again!

I know that sounds kinda crazy, and to be honest, there are some days where I need to nap in the afternoon too!  But there is something to be said about doing what you love, what you feel called to.  There are parts of building and creating and prop making that I love more than others, but this work, this ministry that we’re building, doesn’t really seem like just work.  It’s our heart!

I’m excited to start really doing shows, to just be with kids and families and share Jesus.  We’re beginning to knock on doors and are praying about how the Lord would use us, where we need to go, who He would have us partner with in the coming season.  I’m sure there will be challenges too, but we’re in it!

Anyways, if you think about it, please pray for us 🙂  Pray that we would abide in Jesus.  My favorite Bible verse is John 15:5, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man abides in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

I want everything that Jesus has for us.  I want to go where He wants us to go and do everything He has for us to do.  I don’t want to get caught up in the craziness of life, or distracted, even by the logistics of running a company.  I just want Jesus, to have Him and know Him and love Him and shine Him!  We honestly have no idea what the Lord will do, where He will take us in the year to come.  I actually think that’s how He likes it!  All we know is Jesus, and we are incredibly blessed.

Thanks friends, for following along on this crazy journey!  Thanks for praying and loving on us, for your encouragement and all your support.  Seriously, y’all are a blessing to our family!!

If you’d like to get a copy of the newsletter, I’d love to send it your way!  Just send an email to info@witandfolly.com with the word “Newsletter” in the title.  I’m pretty proud of it actually 🙂  It took me A WHILE to figure out a new program and put it together, but I really like the way it came out!  You can also see a copy of it here.

Until next time, seek Jesus!
